2007 doctors guide

With expert advice from a panel of distinguished private GPs, we've compiled a new guide to the 250 best private doctors, medical practitioners and complementary therapists in the UK.
This is the third edition of Tatler's guide to private doctors. The response to the first two, from patients and practitioners, was overwhelming, so this year we've made it bigger, better and more accessible. We've divided it into 32 categories, from allergies to veins, with complementary therapists in a separate, expanded section at the end. And, for the first time, we've included the best teeth specialists, including cosmetic dentists and orthodontists. Each doctor's listing includes the address where they see most of their private patients and a phone number for appointments.
British doctors are among the best in the world, but patients increasingly face choices about their healthcare. Should you go to the local hospital or a Harley Street clinic? Use conventional drugs or homeopathy? Acupuncture or IVF? You select your children's schools and where you live, eat and go on holiday; we want to help you make an informed choice about who treats you when you're ill.
File this guide somewhere safe. These are the doctors' doctors - the experts and pioneers in their fields. We're confident you'll be in good hands.
